Carolyn Mahony writes crime and mystery books you can't put down. Her aim is to draw you into a world that is utterly believable, with gripping plots and characters that hold you absorbed from start to finish.
Her first book, Cry From The Grave, was originally intended as a standalone story, but she had so many readers contact her after they'd read it, asking if it was going to be a series with Harry Briscombe as the detective, that she thought what a great idea! Consequently, with the books that follow, although she still invests heavily in the dramas unfolding with the characters (think Broadchurch TV series), Harry has happily taken over the lead role and his much-loved character has some intriguing developments as the series unfolds.
Carolyn lives near Cambridge with her husband and loves to spend her time concocting novel methods and motives for undesirable people to commit foul deeds.
