James Felix

James Felix is a former soldier and retired police officer who served for 30 years in frontline roles, including firearms, surveillance, and major investigations. Now writing full time from his home in the Shropshire Hills, he is the author of the Nelson action-thriller series and the British police procedural Mad, Sad, Bad. Drawing on decades of operational experience, his novels blend authentic detail with fast-paced action and gritty realism. Away from writing, he enjoys playing cricket, Italian cooking, long walks with his dogs, and supporting the Green Bay Packers.
