Niki Danforth
Suspenseful Mysteries, Women's Crime Fiction
Genres:
Bio:
Daughter of a Cold War covert intelligence officer, Niki Danforth has the thriller/adventure gene in her DNA. After a career in New York television as a director/producer, this empty-nester recreated herself as an author who writes suspenseful mysteries, detective novels, domestic thrillers, and women’s crime fiction. The novel Sylvia by 1950s blacklisted author Howard Fast inspired Danforth to write her first novel, Stunner: A Ronnie Lake Mystery. And like her series character Ronnie Lake, she studied Japanese Aikido, earning a black belt in time for a decade birthday.
Danforth lives in the New Jersey countryside with her husband and two drama-queen dogs. In her downtime, Danforth enjoys reading and walking her dogs while listening to audiobooks.
Among her favorite authors and their series are Michael Connelly (Ballard and Bosch novels), Linda Castillo (Kate Burkholder series), C.J. Box (Joe Pickett books), Jacqueline Winspear (Maisie Dobbs series), and Jason Matthews (Red Sparrow Trilogy).
